Baaaaa...

I decided to do like several other people here and do this little exercise.

The instructions go like this:

Here were my instructions:
1. Go into your archives.
2. Find your 23rd post.
3. Post the fifth sentence or the closest to it.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your blog along with these instructions.
5. Tag 5 other people to do the same.

In this particular post, I talked about many things, including sharing how my mom reacted when she found out I was joining other kids in making fun of a girl whose father was a garbage collector:

But she told me that I should instead be grateful that someone was willing to put their hands in the garbage and do all that lifting and take it all to the smelly dump for me, and honor any worthwhile work.

I'm grateful to have been taught that lesson, too. Other people need to learn it.
