Happy half-birthday, Butterstick

Click the picture to see the cuteness live...right now he's sleeping. Such a sweet little roly-poly thing. Of course, baby bears in tubs are, by definition, adorable! Six months ago, he didn't exist, and now he's "the most popular baby in Washington". Amazing how a few months can change things, it really is.

Twenty-seven pounds! He's called "Butterstick" by many people because he was, as the Washington Post and the Zoo spokespeople kept saying, "the size of a stick of butter" at birth. Panda babies must have skin and bones like rubber!

Dr. Deborah Serani and the Pobble say cute is good for the soul, so I'm indulging myself! :-)

Thank goodness people can't buy Pandas as pets......cause we know they would!

Yep, Butterstick counts as cute enough to be good for the soul.

I just love critters - any and all of them - critters warm up your life. That particular critter is beyond cute - he makes you just want to cuddle him in your arms till he was snoring asleep.

There's nothing quite like a stick of butter that looks, smells and acts like the cutest bear EVER.

Thanks for visiting my site. I'm now a convert to cuteness overload. Paku to you!
