Naughty little bears

It's a great day to be a dirty-minded animal lover!

First of all, the cutest, cuddliest little bisexual women *ever* were discovered in captivity in Australia quite recently.

Yes, apparently captivity makes female koalas seek the company of each other! They have longer sessions with males, but more sessions with other females. (Which is funny, because for many human bi women, the situation's exactly reversed!)

Then there was the very educational day little Tai Shan at the National Zoo had today. He learned a lot about being a big boy panda. This past week's been sort of sad for those of us who love him and his mother. They were separated for good on the 22nd, and they've adapted, but they don't seem to like it very much. He's over 100 pounds and 19 months old, but he's still a half-size panda, and they still love each other.

However, the silver lining is that Mei Xiang and Tian Tian, the mother and father panda respectively, could get reacquainted. Tian's been left lonely all this time because daddy pandas tend to be dangerous to their children, on purpose or not. They missed each other, too. And they got very friendly for the cameras at least twice today. If they were people, they would have charged for this.

Meanwhile, little Tai observed intently from his tree.

Absolutely hilarious! I think he just might have a baby brother or sister this year.

And more stuff...

Suze Orman came out. She's really helped me and L'Ailee a few times without knowing it, too. She spoke about how marriage inequality is going to cost her and her partner of seven years a lot of money.

I learned about a woman and "organization" whom I will never like today. National Action Against Obesity, headed by this repressed Stepford Wife named MeMe Roth. She is trying to start a boycott against Girl Scout cookies. Another of her anti-obesity actions is the Wedding Gown Challenge. She insists that women should be able to fit into their wedding gowns year after year. (What about women who can't or won't marry, MeMe? Or those of us who have actually lost weight since our wedding day, because, you know, fat girls can get married, too?) I may have suggested that she just "change the title of your blog to 'I'm a Bitch and I'll Prove It'" today. Katherine Mangu-Ward, of Reason magazine, had a much more rational response.

A glowing article on Ayaan Hirsi Ali, who I think deserves one after all the shit she's endured from many sides. I admire her for following her own conscience by leaving fundamentalist Islam, and I admire that she embraces secularism and freedom even when they don't embrace her back. I really admire that even under death threats, she's doing her own thing. And she's an atheist feminist at a conservative think tank, which I think is a very nice trick.

The Office has really grown on me. And a YouTuber decided to show how Michael and Dwight are "bringing SexyBack" to Scranton!

Finally, I learned about a hilarious webpage in which a mother explains, through pictures and words, the many things women learn when they have sons. My mom loved it. (Dorkfish did a few of these things.) L'Ailee and I learned that if we adopt a little boy, we need to take down our ceiling fans!

the office is one of the funniest shows on tv that i don't watch. i've learned that with children tv viewing only happens after 9:05pm.

and i loved the site about little boys. this is why we keep baby gates all over the house. of course the silent prince is just about big enough to throw his leg over the one at the kitchen.

Oh no! Don't tell the Christian Fundamentalists that there are bisexual koalas. I can just see the Fred Phelp's Fanatics marching outside of zoos with signs reading "God Hates Koalas!"

Taking off from where Paul left off; if they only "believed" I'm sure they'd be cured! Grrrrrr!

Heard another news piece about that yesterday...how dare they!

Lol on that part about "the other way around"!!

:o)

The deletion was me...somewhere in the whirl of word verification and hitting send 3 times to get it to "go" once, it went twice, sorry! I wonder if I can screw it up twice?
