Wisdom from a conservative source

Well, his paychecks are signed by conservative sources, anyway.

But Walter Williams actually turned "Click It or Ticket" (I HATE THAT PROGRAM WITH ALL MY HEART! It is the only reason I like not having a car anymore!) into a wonderful little example of "Libertarian Thinking 101".

Click *this*.

You know, I never thought of it that way, but he is very right. If you look at it like that, couldnt they outlaw any dangerous think, like sky diving or bungee jumping on the theory that you may become a vegtable and cost the state millions. If we dont continue to question the fundamental laws, we may end up living behind an iron curtain and not realize it until its too late.
Blessed be.

For the record, I don't wear my seatbelt. I have a real problem with anyone that tells me what to do unless they are signing my paycheck, and then sometimes it's questionable.

I think that this is a problem that can be corrected with private-industry means--namely, making the damn things more comfortable! For a short woman who wears a bra of any size, the things *hurt*! I don't see why people can't work on inventions and get *those* into cars. (I've actually been trying, incidentally.) But more laws, as the Libertarian axiom goes, only make more outlaws.

Blessed be!

Anthony will love the quote you posted. He'll be mad that I've put his personal crap on the street, but he will get the humor!
